‘Photograph Your Craft’ Day
Wednesday 12th October – Alstonefield Manor Ashbourne, Derbyshire
£120 10.00am-4.00pm Includes traditional afternoon tea and refreshments

Many people ask me how to take better photos, a lot of them are crafters and designers who simply don’t have the time or budget for professional photography each time they create something new, which is most days! However it is possible to capture quality imagery with a basic digital camera, some light and a bit of imagination.
- We look at the basic principles of light and how it is captured to form an image in camera and the variants that control it.
- We learn how to capture life and movement in an image, and create background blur, both popular effects with crafters.
- We learn the controls and shortcuts on your camera to allow for quick setting changes and better results.
- Styling – we look at how we like to see products displayed and the importance of clear concise images for your buyers.
- We set up a mini stage and photograph each attendees product using natural light, and household props.
- We finish with learning how to save and output our images for web and print use.
I just wanted to say thank you, the course was fab. I’m looking forward to having a go with my camera,re taking all my shots and giving my shop a makeover!
Fab day Lyndsey, can’t wait to put it all into practise on my website
